Quality

Policy
It
is the policy of the Analytica Group that the quality assurance program be sufficient to
assure that all data generated are of a known and documented quality. Laboratory operations are regulated by a written,
comprehensive QA/QC plan based on controlling, monitoring and documenting every aspect of
operation. Our staff of experienced chemists
conduct analytical testing according to well-documented Standard Operating Procedures thus
our data is considered technically valid and legally defensible. The QA program covers all the activities
performed, supported, or required by Analytica and applies to all personnel working for
Analytica and its subcontractors who supervise, perform, check, and review significant
quality related activities in support of a project. The
policies, responsibilities, and measures described in Analyticas Quality Assurance
Manual have the support and endorsement of the President of Analytica. They are mandatory for all personnel and team
members contracted for project work.
Analyticas Commitment to Quality Assurance
Analytica provides analytical laboratory analysis for
volatile, semi-volatile organic compounds, pesticides, inorganic metals, and inorganic wet
chemistry. By allocating resources for
routinely scheduled updates of the QA Manual, the management remains committed to
providing superior quality data and exceptional service to its growing customer
base. The Analytica management team has
overseen multiple government contracts and projects that demand an organization versed in
the current technology and quality objectives of these regulated programs. Analytica has a
proven track record of producing legally defensible, litigation quality data for both the
private and public sectors.
The Analytica Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) is the primary
guide to the integration of quality functions into all laboratory and related activities
and is management's directive for accomplishing quality functions and implementing all
client tasks. Procedures defined in this QA Plan provide the controls and sound management
practices necessary to execute our contractual obligations.
The
Quality Assurance Program
The Quality Assurance Program is designed to establish
internal quality control programs, monitoring and surveillance functions as management
tools for ensuring all project organization functions are executed in a manner that will
protect the public health and safety, work toward the success of the project, and meet or
exceed contract requirements. Product and
services quality, safety, reliability and environmental acceptability are of paramount
importance to Analytica.
The purpose of Analytica's laboratory QA program is to
assure reliable and accurate analyses for the scope of services offered by Analytica. In
providing such analyses, Analytica assures high professional standards in the data
generated for our clients. This purpose is
accomplished by the following actions:
- Hiring qualified personnel and providing timely training.
- Providing strong management to enable the technical
personnel to succeed.
- Building clear, consistent communication with clients to
determine data deliverables, time and QC appropriate to their needs.
- Providing a consistent framework for the generation of
analytical data.
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) which permit
interlaboratory comparison of data.
- Established procedures for demonstrating that analytical
protocols are followed and analytical systems are in control.
- The objectives of the Quality Assurance Program are as
follows:
- Define lines of communication and responsibility for the
assurance of quality in product and service.
- Verify the quality of each analytical system for precision
accuracy and comparability for the needs of each type of project.
- Assist in the early recognition of deficiencies that may
affect the quality of data.
- Enable the laboratory to identify and implement corrective
actions that are necessary to assure the validity of laboratory data.
- Require sufficient documentation to verify the quality of
data submitted to the client.
- This objective applies to data produced by Analytica as well
as to data that Analytica is responsible for evaluating.
Analytica further commits that all services are performed with the excellence that
promotes quality deliverables. Data and
services are to satisfactorily meet the project outcomes or data quality objectives
(DQOs).
Analytica realizes analytical data must meet the quality
assurance objectives of the client. The data
must fulfill the requirements of any overseeing regulatory agency. Quality at Analytica is achieved through
application of staff technical expertise, communication within the laboratory as well as
with client personnel. These practices
support a Quality Assurance Program consisting of the policies and procedures as outlined
in both the Quality Assurance Plan and the Standard Operating Procedures.
Analytica, an experienced U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
participant, has tailored its internal QA program to fulfill the rigorous litigation
demands upon laboratory data. With the
CERCLA, RCRA and SARA legislation in mind, Analytica routinely produces technically
defensible data of documented precision and accuracy.
Analytica personnel assume that all reported results could eventually be
introduced as evidence in a court of law and therefore, strictly follow the appropriate
analytical QC and documentation accordingly.
Corporate Ethics Policy
Analytica and its employees do not knowingly participate in
wasteful, fraudulent or abusive activities. Any
employee(s) discovered to be involved in such activities will be reviewed by their
immediate supervisor and the President. Intentionally
wasteful, fraudulent or abusive conduct is grounds for immediate dismissal. Personnel references are checked to ensure
appropriate academic and ethical background. Analytica
participates in recycling programs within the laboratory for paper and other recyclable
materials to minimize waste.
Per the level of litigation control, Analytica personnel
adhere to strict conflict of interest policies. Each
analyst agrees to maintain the privacy of Analytica client data and sign an 'Ethics and
Data Integrity Agreement'. As
required, personnel also sign Conflict of Interest statements as defined by the specific
client.
